Map Design: The Wiggle
2010, California College of the Arts
The assignment was to create a guide for the neighborhood you live in. I decided to make a guide for cyclists, centered on "The Wiggle", which is a bike route that allows you to navigate the NOPA neighborhood while avoiding those steep San Francisco hills. The guide doubles as a map, and folds out into the shape of the route itself. The compactness of the folded size enables it to be used as a spoke card.
